There will be packet pickup locations on Friday at Northwest Tri & Bike, a full-service triathlon shop with every tri-trinket you could ask for - just ¼ mile from the park. There will also be packet pick-up on Saturday, race morning starting at 5:40 at Lake Meridian Park. Overnight bike racking will not be available.
At packet pick up all athletes are required to show photo ID. NO ID, NO RACE, NO EXCEPTIONS. Relay teams must either come together to pick up the packet or will only be given their part of the race packet.
The Transition opens at 5:30AM You’ll be required to attach your bike number on your bike and have your body marked before you enter transition. Both numbers will be checked again as you exit transition after the race. Once your bike is in transition, it’s there to stay until you finish the swim. The Transition Area is open to registered athletes only. Please, no spectators or family members inside transition. THERE ARE NO BIKES ALLOWED IN TRANSITION OTHER THAN BIKES RIDDEN IN COMPETITION.
Parking is extremely limited at Lake Meridian Park. Parking is available at Kent’s Fire Station #75, Automotive complex and Funeral Home plus the neighborhoods beyond the boat launch. We’d suggest you avoid trying to park in the park’s lot of Kent-Kangley altogether and instead head to the boat launch parking lot (again - very limited). Parking at the lake opens at 5:30. Please respect the no parking signs at businesses around Lake Meridian as well.
Find a Parking Map & Details Here
The bike course travels through the VERY congested intersection of Kent-Kangley road and 152nd (Kent-Black Diamond Rd). There will be police officers and volunteers at that intersection keeping the athletes safe and impacted by traffic as little as possible. PLEASE remind any family members or fans of yours to avoid that intersection if they’re coming to the venue during the bike portion of the race (7:00AM - 10:00AM) They will have better access to the lake coming from the North. Also 256th will be closed between 132nd and 156th from 8-11 AM.
Photos will be taken by local photographers in the Raise the Bar Community. Those photos will be available for download from the Race Facebook Page found Here
At registration you will receive several race numbers, swim cap, timing chip and strap and safety pins. There are no numbers or tags for the swim portion of the event but you must wear the issued swim cap. The larger bike number is secured to your bike frame and the smaller bike number is secured to the front of your helmet. Run bib numbers should be worn on the front of the body and worn during the run portion of the event either pinned on to the shirt or on a race belt. The timing chip must go around your ankle (it will not read if it is on your wrist). If you would like to use your own chip strap, please return the strap to registration with your race number.
The Top 3 Overall Super Sprint, Sprint & Olympic Men and Women will receive a prize and will be taken out of the age group results.
The Top 5 finishers in each 5-year age group of the Sprint & Olympic and top 3 finishers in each 5-year age in the Super Sprint. And the top 3 relays in each race. Top Clydesdale and Athena athletes will be honored as well. Racers will receive a Commemorative Beer Glass! Men and women will be called up together on the flatbed stage to be applauded by an adoring crowd.
5-year age groups (19 & under, 20-24, 25-29, etc) plus Athena and Clydesdale
The Lake Meridian Triathlon is an USAT sanctioned event, Rules to note:
